Cookie policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This English translation is provided for convenience; the French version prevails.

This policy describes the use of cookies and equivalent technologies (browser local storage, measurement scripts) on the truecalling.ai website. The related processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy (sections 3.9 to 3.12).

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed by a website on your browser. It allows the site to remember a piece of information between two visits (for example your language preference) or for the duration of a session.

Local storage (LocalStorage) is a similar technology in terms of purpose (storing data on the browser side), but it is not sent to the server with every request. It is subject to the same consent rules as cookies (Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, loi Informatique et Libertés), as are scripts that read information about your browser.

2. Your choice: the consent banner

On your first visit, a banner offers "Accept all", "Reject all" or "Customize". Two categories require your consent:

  • Analytics: Google Analytics cookies and conversion events (request sent, sign-up, job application, click to the demo or the application), without your name or email;
  • Marketing: visit tracking by lemlist, which lets our sales team recognise visits from companies and contacts it already follows. This box also gives Google, through Google Analytics consent mode, your agreement to the storage and use of data for advertising purposes; the Site currently contains no advertising tag (Google Ads or other).

Until you have made a choice, none of these cookies is set. Your choice is kept for 13 months in your browser's local storage; after that, the banner is shown again.

Changing your mind: the banner does not yet offer a permanent link to revisit your choice. To change it or withdraw your consent, clear the cookies and site data for truecalling.ai in your browser (see section 7): your analytics cookies and your choice are deleted and the banner appears again. If you withdraw "Marketing" consent during a visit, the lemlist script already loaded stays active until you close or reload the page.

The Site also provides for the PostHog measurement tool (hosted in the European Union), subject to "Analytics" consent. It is not enabled as at the date of this policy; if it is, it will work without cookies (data kept in memory for the page only) and without session recording.

4. Cookieless measurement, active for every visitor

The following tools are loaded for every visitor, before any choice and even after a refusal. They neither set nor read cookies:

  • Google Analytics in "consent mode": until analytics is accepted, the Google Analytics script sends Google signals with no identifier (timestamp, browser, referring page, consent state), which Google uses to model traffic.
  • Vercel Web Analytics: page visited, referring page, some address parameters, approximate location, operating system, browser and device type. According to Vercel, the visit is recognised by a hash computed from the request.
  • Vercel Speed Insights: page loading performance metrics, with country, browser and network type.

This measurement relies on our legitimate interest in knowing the Site's traffic and performance (see the privacy policy, section 3.9).

5. Other third-party services called by your browser

  • Cloudflare Turnstile, on the job application form only: anti-bot check loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com. Cloudflare receives your IP address and information about your browser. This check is necessary for the security of the form you are using and does not require consent.
  • Company logos on the job board: loaded from third-party servers (Google, company websites, Clearbit), which receive your IP address and information about your browser, as with any image.
  • Fonts: Inter, Instrument Serif and Frank Ruhl Libre are self-hosted via next/font/google (the files are downloaded at build time and served from our own domain); no visitor IP address is sent to Google for fonts.

6. What this Site does not use

  • No session recording or heatmaps (Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, FullStory…)
  • No advertising pixels (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel…)
  • No Google Tag Manager container: only the Google Analytics script (gtag.js) is loaded
  • No third-party chat (Intercom, Crisp, Drift…)
  • No reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha
  • No Google fonts loaded from Google's CDN

7. How to refuse or delete these cookies and storage items

  • In the banner: "Reject all", or "Customize" and untick the categories.
  • In your browser: clear the cookies and site data for truecalling.ai (this also deletes your choice, and the banner will appear again), or refuse all cookies. Refusing strictly necessary cookies may prevent your language and theme from being remembered.
  • Clear local storage via your browser's developer tools ("Application" or "Storage" tab).
