Cookie policy

Last updated: May 6, 2026

This English translation is provided for convenience; the French version prevails.

This policy describes the use of cookies and equivalent technologies (LocalStorage) on the truecalling.ai website.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed by a website on your browser. It allows the site to remember a piece of information between two visits (for example your language preference) or for the duration of a session.

LocalStorage is a similar technology in terms of purpose (storing data on the browser side), but it is not sent to the server with every request. It is subject to the same consent rules as cookies (Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act — loi Informatique et Libertés).

2. Cookies and storage used on this Site

The TrueCalling website only uses items that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Site. As such, and in accordance with the exemption provided for in Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, no prior consent is required. No consent banner is therefore displayed.

3. What this Site does NOT use

To clarify what is not present:

  • No Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo or any other audience measurement tool
  • No Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, FullStory or any session replay / heatmap tool
  • No Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel or any advertising tracker
  • No Google Tag Manager
  • No third-party chat (Intercom, Crisp, Drift…)
  • No third-party captcha (reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha): anti-spam protection is provided by an internal honeypot field
  • No third-party cookies
  • No Google fonts loaded via CDN: the Inter, Instrument Serif and Frank Ruhl Libre fonts are self-hosted via next/font/google (the Next.js compiler downloads the font files at build time and serves them from our own domain; no visitor IP address is transmitted to Google)

If any of these tools were added in the future, this policy would be updated and, where required, a consent banner would be put in place.

4. How to refuse or delete these storage items

Although the items listed are strictly necessary, you may at any time:

  • Refuse all cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge…). This may prevent your preferred language and theme from being remembered.
  • Clear LocalStorage via your browser's developer tools ("Application" or "Storage" tab).
